Art Tutorials III

For my Art Tutorials III, I focused on the theme of homophobia to create a documentation of derogatory terms and decided to explore the root of their meanings. Focusing on the meanings those words, I created a series of works based on language and color and created an American flag that eventually fades. A fading representation of hope that homophobia would disappear.
Then I decided to create and progressed to composing images that expressed those words into form. While using composition depicting actions with the use of silhouette figures and words.
They show how homophobic words are used to initiate violence through hate speech, and actions that can result in death.
