Midterm Critique

My creative works consist of portraits of people and dogs. All of the artworks have a common attribute on the idea of " family". At first, I drew all of my family portraits in pencil, then developed them in different mediums. For my parents portraits I used pastels, for my sister's family portraits I used colored ink, and for my dogs I used pencil. I then decided to make gold frames to associate value with the family portraits. Furthermore, I attempted to place my portraits in different visual arrangements; diagonally. I was inspired to imitate a visual staircase and found this to be the best arrangement. I choose to create something that would emphasize on family love and who's a part of your family.
